Since I have an older SKY unit on my B7200 Kubota tractor I decided it was time to install one on my newer Kubota B3030 tractor. I plan on keeping this tractor for some time.
My first duty was to paint the canister and mounting bracket Kubota orange.
Next was trying to determine where to mount it. Under the hood was basically not an option due to space limitations. I decided to put it in front of the windshield low enough that it does not interfere with visibility.
I did an oil change during this install to start with fresh oil. I refilled with new oil as the very last step.
I planned on using one of my duplex sandwich adaptors (see in my products on this website). This one gives me a supply and a return to the adaptor itself allowing for dual oil lines of equal length and placement.
Routing the oil lines was a bit tricky and decided to simply run them under the left removable hood side. That way no holes to drill, etc.
I used white thread tape to all male threads and black electrician's tape before adding tie wraps at various locations.
Replace the drain plug, check all is snug and tight and refill with new oil.
Started engine. Checked for pressure. Ran for about 10 minutes and no leaks. Job done. I think the Refiner filter even adds some customized character to the tractor.
